- Snowshoeing and cider. Sounds like a sweet day!!
- This trip includes: snowshoe rentals, rugged-trail guided trip through the forest, and a bottle of cider from Keepsake Cidery for each adult ticket.
- It is recommended that you should be able to ascend two flights of stairs.
- You'll be hiking down the bluffs overlooking the Cannon River. In late February and early March keep your eyes peeled for bald eagles who nest along these shores!
Rent snowshoes and create your own adventure!
Our MSR snowshoes are ideal for medium depth snow conditions and are particularly designed for navigating forested areas and technical terrain. If you're thinking about heading into the great North with major snow depth, we'd recommend renting from an outfitter closer to your destination.
We have 3 sizes of snowshoes, although most people will find our standard size just perfect.
Instructions on how to wear and use your snowshoes can be found here.
Here is a list of local recommended parks to go snowshoeing at!

Get outdoors and enjoy the beauty of winter with a little extra fun. Start your self-guided snowshoeing tour at Keepsake Cidery just 4 miles south of Northfield. Meet our staff in the parking lot to get outfitted with snowshoes and then head out on your adventure and do as much or as little as you prefer.
The rugged trail leaves behind the orchard and steps into Wilderness Park with it's rolling hills, old growth trees and the Cannon River flowing gently nearby (stay off the ice!). A general trail is marked with brightly colored flags and we strongly recommend using a reliable GPS tracking program.
To make the adventure a little more interesting, pick up a clue list from our guide and take photos of all the treasures along the way to earn a free bottle of cider from Keepsake Cidery!
